The Other Side was a weekly Australian news analysis show that ran from 2020 - 2026 created and hosted by former Australian Radio and TV journalist Damian Coory (Network Ten, ABC, 3AW, 4BC, 2UE, Triple M).

The show ceased production at the end of June 2026 and Damian joined forces with Spectator Australia Magazine to create a new weekly show with Spectator on-line editor Alexandra Marshall.

The Other Side was born after Damian - who became a senior public relations executive after leaving journalism in 1999 - returned to live in Australia in 2020 after two decades working across the Asia Pacific region in corporate communications.   

Damian was concerned about two things he noticed had happened in Australia during his time abroad:

1.  Australian culture and journalism (especially the state funded ABC and academia)  had shifted significantly to embracing radical big government left-wing ideologies, such as identity politics and marxist critical theory, without adequate challenge or balance. 

2. The quality of journalism had declined significantly, with emotionally-driven 'campaign journalism' and clickbait emphasis replacing responsible coverage of all  sides of important issues.
